
Sarah Cardwell, Principal Oboe Sarah Cardwell is a member of the Stratford Symphony, the Kitchener-Waterloo Woodwind Quintet, Spiritus Ensemble and performs with many other groups within Southwestern Ontario. Past solo performances include Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Winds, Applebaum's Five Snapshots for English Horn, Marcello’s Oboe Concerto, Copland’s Quiet City, Vaughan Williams' Oboe Concerto, and Morricone’s Gabriel’s Oboe. Sarah Cardwell holds a Master of Music degree from the University of British Columbia. She was a member of the National Youth Orchestra and has participated in summer festivals at the Banff Centre for the Arts, Domaine Forget, Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Chautauqua Institute. She studied with Beth Orson, Roger Cole, Normand Forget, Richard Killmer, and Cheryl Bishkoff. Committed to music education, Sarah maintains a private studio at her home in Kitchener and is also on the faculty of the Laurier Academy of Music and Arts.
